In this role, you will introduce your peers to Tapatío Mexican meals, driving brand awareness and making it the frozen meal of choice on your campus! 

Your main tasks are to: (1) Buy Tapatío frozen meals from your local Walmart (you will be reimbursed!) to distribute unopened, uncooked meals on-campus ; (2) Create and share engaging social media content on your personal Instagram and TikTok accounts.

We're selecting multiple Brand Ambassadors at each university. If you know friends who would be interested, share this job and encourage them to apply – you might get to work together!

NOTE: There must be a Walmart near your campus carrying the Tapatío meals for you to be eligible for this job. Submit your application if you have a Walmart near you & we will confirm on our side.

Responsibilities

Over the course of the Spring semester/quarter, you will complete the following tasks:

  • Purchase 50 Tapatío frozen meals from your local Walmart to distribute on-campus. Ambassadors must distribute unopened, uncooked meals. The goal is to hand out the meals in an experiential way. Think of a watch party with your friends or within a Greek/student org you’re a part of. Ambassadors will be reimbursed for purchasing the frozen meals. All meals will be sampled for free.
  • 5 TikTok posts - the best content may get promoted, giving you wider visibility and a chance to build your social media following.
  • 2 Instagram Reels - repost of your best performing TikTok post
  • 5 Instagram stories
  • Top performing Ambassadors will be invited to participate in 1 Lunch & Learn video group call - this is an exclusive networking opportunity with members of the Tapatío marketing team

In addition to the tasks above, you will also be responsible for the following logistics:

  • Pre-program virtual training & planning
  • Weekly communication with EvolveZ via Slack and video calls
  • Capture & submit picture and video content throughout the program
  • Adhere to task due dates/milestones that will be shared during program training

Qualifications

  • There must be a Walmart near your campus carrying the Tapatío frozen meals for you to be eligible for this job.
  • Must be a full-time, currently enrolled college student available to promote Tapatío in-person on your college campus in the upcoming Spring 2025 semester/quarter.
  • Should not be participating in another Ambassador program within the frozen meal industry.
  • This paid, part-time role is as a 1099 Independent Contractor. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the US and possess a valid SSN.
  • Passionate about event planning, social content creation & promotion, and being a trendsetter for new products amongst your peers. Added bonus if you already love Tapatío!
  • A strong presence on Instagram and TikTok is required. For Instagram, we require applicants to have at least 1,000 followers with strong engagement rates. For TikTok, we require applicants to consistently have videos that generate over 500 views.
  • Ambassadors must make their Instagram & TikTok accounts public and unhide likes throughout the program.

HOW EVOLVEZ WORKS: 

EvolveZ works with brands like Tapatío to create and execute their Brand Ambassador programs. For this program, the EvolveZ team will interview, hire, train, and manage the Ambassadors on a weekly basis, while the Tapatío team maintains general oversight.
